Unfortunately dealing with a big bank is very frustrating. I wouldn't say that you have to close your account, unless of course that would make you happy because of the non support you are getting.

What type of phishing are you looking at? Sounds like there is some trojan installed on your machine? If this is the case you need to run a spyware remover not just a virus scanner. You can try something like SpyBot > http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html and see what it turns up.

I hope you get your issue resolved.

Funny... I am having the same problem and did report it to CHASE, explaining the issue, in detail, with screen shots. I also explained that I ran anti-virus software, multiple times on my laptop.

I got a wonderful form letter back stating that Chase couldn't follow up on all the issues sent to them, but if I have any more problems I should sign onto the chase site... duh....can't do that because of the phishing issue!!! ----- and another form letter stating that I should run an anti-virus software ---been doing that!

Thank goodness Chase has the form letters set up for people with legitimate issues like us!!

I have stated, to Chase, that the problem may be on my laptop but it is also linked to the Chase software. Guess that is just not enough of a problem for a big bank like Chase to look into.

So, is my only option to close my account? It certainly seems to be!!!

Chase, thanks for the 35 years of increasing unsupported service!

You are so right. People should never go online as a result of an email. If you want to check out the email, just go online the regular way you always do. Never give out any info from an email. The spam is getting to be too much. Thanks Phil for the update.
