Simple home alarm…
This is a great idea that was sent to me via email today. I thought it would be good to pass it on to everyone else that may be reading this. If you have a car with an alarm that has a panic button on the keyfob, put your car keys beside your bed at night. Animal lovers unite!
Anyone that knows me will tell you that I am a true animal lover and go out of my way to protect and serve them. I have created several sites that help rescue groups get out the word like my friends at NorCal GSP Rescue who use my GSP Blogs site to list all their available dogs and keep track of their progress. I also created an online directory to list all rescue groups big and small across the nation. 20 years already?
Today February 1, 2008 is my 20th anniversary with my employer. I can hardly believe it has been 20 years since I started working for Verizon. I have been through 4 company name changes since I started, New York Telephone, Nynex, Bell Atlantic and now Verizon. I was going to write a rant about not being appreciated for my 20 years of service, but then I thought what is the point. Now eBay Phishing?
Just like the post I made about Bank Phishing, today I received an email supposedly from eBay requesting to change my registration information. Well of course if you read my post from the other day you already know that I am very aware of spoofed emails that are phishing for personal login information. Guess what? This is a spoofed email that appears to be from eBay but in reality it is not. Belated Christmas Gift
I know we are almost in February but I just found out today that I was given a Christmas Fruit Cake from my good friend Dan. I can’t believe that I didn’t get it till today but I still do appreciate a good fruit cake. Bank Phishing
Today I received and email from what appeared to be J.P. Morgan Chase which if you don’t know is a very well known bank. The email looked official and actually would lead you to believe that it came from Chase. Have a look at a screenshot of the email (click to enlarge): Looks pretty good except for the fact that there is a couple of spelling mistakes like Complate instead of Complete, and why is the C capitalized anyway?
